Now that the Photics Arcade is online, it's time to start working on some new games. What do you think is the best way to go about it? Should we work together in collaboration, or should there be another competition?
I have a simple project in mind - Gwen's Rock, Paper, Scissor Challenge
(No one entered the first time around. I'm bringing the project back to life.)
The final project would need to have the following:
- A title screen, with a cool looking logo
- An instruction screen
- Gwen's animation
- Getting ready to draw
- Standing still
- Rock
- Scissor
- Paper
- I Win (Gwen Giggles)
- You Win (Gwen gets sad)
- Tie (Gwen looks confused)
- Background graphics
- happy puffy clouds that drift across the sky
- flowers that sway with the wind
- Sound Effects
- Gwen's Voice
- Background Music
- Title Music
- Game Over Music
- Game Over screen, that ties into the High Scores
- Scoring
(You start with three hearts, you keep challenging Gwen until you lose.)
Reasons for collaboration: To create a Flash game, you need to know a lot. Maybe you're just an illustrator. Maybe you're just a code warrior. Through collaboration, you can contribute your best work. Therefore, the final project could be much better than if you worked alone.
"We can fight alone, but our strength is many times greater as comrades in arms when we fight together."
Reasons for competition: I have a Guild Wars: Nightfall code to give away.
You decide. I'll let the poll run for two weeks.
