Indeed, reconnect sounds great. All too often was a really long mission destroyed by err7. Although, I do have one question about this bit:

This makes it sound like even though you aren't connected, your character will be in the game fighting anything you targeted before an error. If so, can the character die if you aren't even logged on? That could be disastrous for someone going for survivor. Other than that, good stuff
