Welcome to the Photics.com Guild Wars Video Guide. I'm Mike Garofalo and I'll be showing you how to clear the Guild Wars Nightfall bonus missions. This is the first video in a series of 20. If you're going for the Protector of Elona title, you will need to complete every one of those missions. So, let's get to it.
Start of in the Jewel of Istan. I'm going to assume that you're already level 20 and that you already have access to Elona. Those are some pretty big assumptions, but Guild Wars is a pretty big game. I have to start somewhere. If you're not level 20, don't worry about it. The first mission is more of a training map. There is a word of warning. I don't pretend to know how to pronounce the names of the cities or the names of the NPCs. So I don't want a whole bunch of email that says, "But that's not how you say it!" Look, Whatever, alright?! I'm just going to use technical terms, like dude or chick... so look for the Sunspear Chick. She shouldn't be too hard to find. She's got this big machete, with spikes on the handle, you can't miss her. If all of your quests are up-to-date, she'll let you into the next zone.
Once you're on the other side, you'll be in a combat zone. But I wouldn't be too afraid, the most difficult thing in your path is a wooden dummy. POW! That will teach you to stand around! After you're done wasting time, go look for the historian. He sends you back in time, so you can relive Elonian events as they happened before your arrival. OK... it's time to fight! Right?! Heh, Noooo... there's one more NPC for you to talk to, but he's the last one.
...but doesn't mean you're done with the conversation. Once you port over, you'll be bombarded with text. Long story short, you have to keep your NPC allies alive. Duh, like you need to be told that? It shouldn't be too hard to do, even for new players, as you'll be facing enemies that are level zero. This is basically a training mission, but even veteran players will enjoy blowing up the boats.
AHHH HEHHEHEHHEHEHEH! That was so much fun I'm gonna show it to ya again. Here's what you do...
Run to the pile oil containers and pick one up. Then, run back to the catapult and arm the weapon with the oil. Now you're ready to send those corsair dogs to a watery grave. With both boats are down, simply wipe out up the remaining enemies and that will end the mission. Just remember to keep your friends alive.
