Default ArenaNet's Hiring A Quality Assurance Tester

Ever wonder what your dream job would be? What do you want to be when you grow up? At ArenaNet, paid to play video games is a reality. They posted a "Quality Assurance Tester" job. That seems like a fun way to make a living. Many players test Guild Wars for free. Imagine how fun it would be to get paid for it.

Although, game tester is not always a glorious job. Underpaid, overworked, this could be the ultimate illusion. The game you once loved could become a source of contempt. I know it happed with me, as I was once paid to play. It got very boring.

Anyway, you don't need me to make life decisions for you. I just like posting fun things to discuss. I think ArenaNet's job posting is a worthy topic...

I think if this job paid well and they allowed telecommuting, that would be interesting. I suspect this job is for Guild Wars 2, and playing the game months before anyone else is awesome. Unfortunately, this job is probably at the ArenaNet HQ. Would you do it? Would you relocate to pursue a dream job? Would you start at the bottom of a game company and climb your way up the ladder? It's fun to think about.

As with all job postings, you might want to check the ArenaNet job boards to see if the job is still available. Here's the link...
