Advance Wars: Days of Ruin – Launch Party at Nintendo World
Last Sunday, another long line formed at Nintendo World. Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin, for the Nintendo DS, went on sale at Nintendo’s flagship retail store. Despite frigid New York City weather, the event attracted a long line. Maybe it was the online play or the map editor.
Nintendo's 2008 Game Lineup for Wii and DS
2007 was an excellent year for Nintendo. According to the company, the Nintendo DS was the #1 selling game system and the Wii was #2. With both top spots secured, where can Nintendo go from here? There’s no need to wonder what’s next, as a tentative game lineup list is now available.
1/14/2008 Virtual Console Updates – Pac Attack and Riot Zone
Oh no, it’s two weeks in a row. Only two new games have been added to the Wii Virtual Console. Nintendo has been releasing less games on the virtual console. Pac Attack (SNES) and Riot Zone (TurboGrafx 16 CD-ROM) make their Wii debut today. What game would you have added? You can discuss this matter in the Photics Forums.
Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack (BMP) – Available To All
ArenaNet restores honor to the Guild Wars legacy. The Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack will no longer be a credit card exclusive. Starting Monday, January 28, 2008, players will be able to purchase the BMP for only $9.99 / €8.99 / £5.99 – through the PlayNC store, the Guild Wars Online Store or through participating retail stores. This is a huge victory for Photics.com, as this site petitioned for such a change.
1/7/2008 Virtual Console Updates – Star Tropics and King of Fighters ‘94
What’s going on Nintendo? It was tradition! Every Monday, there are supposed to be three new releases on the Wii Virtual Console. Today, there are only two – Star Tropics (NES) and King of Fighters ’94 (NEOGEO). What would that third game have been? There were so many opportunities. Instead, we are left to wonder.
Lost In Ascalon #47 – Gatekeeper
There’s something that I find truly confusing about Guild Wars Eye of the North. Gwen is one of the most significant characters in the Guild Wars franchise. The discussion as to her fate has been going on for years. I was more than a bit disappointed when I was ultimately reunited with Gwen, which is why I’m changing things up! Episode #47 of Lost In Ascalon illustrates the situation.
