Photics is on a distinguished road
Default Video Guide Transcript

Welcome to the Photics.com Guild Wars Video Guide. I'm Mike Garofalo and this part 11 of the Nightfall Bonus Missions tutorial. We're at the halfway point and things are really starting to get tough. This next bonus mission is difficult, but hopefully this video guide will help you out.

Even prouncing the name of this map is difficult... and I'm not going to try. So, just get your side quests up-to-date, then wander over to the Lieutenant. That will start the mission.

Nor should you... once I figure out what that word means... F-R-I-P-P-E-R-Y. Anyway, you'll need the Master of Whispers on your team for this map. Be ready to fight, as the bonus starts right away. In fact, you start off with the bonus completed. The trick is keeping it that way. Your stronghold is under siege. The bonus is keeping the defenses intact. That's easy to say, but I had a really difficult time making that happen. If I tried to play it safe, the enemies overpowered my defense. So, how do you win?

There's an old saying, "A good defense is a strong offense." So... take the fight to the enemy. Don't sit around waiting for the bad guys to attack you. Their forces can be endless. Yours are not. The first wave of enemies are fairly easy, but then the generals appear. They can keep summoning troops through the portals. So unless you take Generals out quickly, you'll likely lose the bonus. To stop the flow of reinforcements, go on the offense... and I mean heavy on the offense.

If you're curious about my build, I loaded up my team with Elementalists... and I mean like all of them. I had Cynn, I had Zhed, I had that guy I can't pronounce his name, I even turned the Necro into a secondary Elementalist. I did have two Monks on healing. You know, because you can't attack if you're dead. But anyway, with spells like Chain Lightning, I was able to attack with sudden bursts of damage. The enemies didn't stand a chance.

Meanwhile, I sent the NPC defenders to the West side. You can't waste your time running all over the map. You have three main points to defend... West, East and Center. Your allies from the Order of Whispers are not that strong, so I sent them all to one side. With the East and Center cleared out by me, I was able to take my time cleaning up the West side. That's all there is to it. Once you kill the four generals, the map is over.
