Hey there!

Welcome to the Photics Forums. Although, I will tell you this. You're preaching to the choir. Long have I been an advocate for more social objectives in Guild Wars. I think the game could benefit from more traditional MMORPG gameplay.

It took a long time to even get NPC merchants in the Guild Hall, but you can see how that helped. It certainly got The Crusaders psyched for Guild Wars: Factions. What if ArenaNet went further with that? What if there were trade skills, mini-games, cuddly pets, guild mascots, fishing and other non-aggressive things to do in the game?

Although... the game is called Guild Wars, strife is to be expected.

I was a bit surprised how intense the alliance battles became. There was spying, politics, trash talk and all sorts of other negativities that are associated with war. It was as close to real war as I want to get.

The problem with Guild Wars is that too much is focused around "winning". Yet, that's not very fun. Ladders are only fun if you can climb up. To climb the ladder, you have to step on someone else. Once you get to the top of the ladder, everyone and their grandmother wants to knock you off...

...or it just defaults to War Machine
