Welcome to the Photics.com Animation and Game Development Forum. This section is to discuss and create video games. Sometimes, it's just more fun to make a game than to play one. Yet, to make a good game, hard work and planning is required. That's the purpose of this forum - to serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement. Team up with your friends at Photics.com, then make something great.
Note: By posting a game idea or suggestion in the Photics Forums, you grant Photics.com permission to use that information without any compensation to you.
The strongest advice that I can give to an aspiring game creator is this - break up your project into little pieces. The sheer amount of knowledge needed to create a game can be intimidating. If you're an indy developer, working on your own game, you'll need to be a jack-of-all-trades: part coder, part musician, part artist and more! Don't freak out. Just take small steps towards your ultimate goal. A single snowflake might not seem like much, but they can add up to become a blizzard.
