Hi, new to the forum but have been lurking for a bit! Awesome website!

Quick question on binding commands. I don't know if I'm blind or what but in the options- control setup, I can't find the command for cycling through allies. I have the command for "next target" but not "next ally". Shouldn't this be in there? Its a bit of a pain to have to move my mouse over the player names on the display to select who to heal/enchant and whatnot, especially in fast-paced battles.

Also, does anyone know if you can bind mousewheel up and down in this game? That would be perfect for cycling through enemies/allies, imho.

Thanks in advance for any input!

To cycle through enemies, just press the button for next enemy, and to go backwards press Shift + that button.
I don't know what the button is, caus I've changed it many times and it's not the deafult anymore.

As for cycling through allies, there are "Target Ally 1", "Target Ally 2" ect in the control options. Just asign each one a number in the number pad, and you can cycle through them easily by pressing 1-8 in your number pad. The only setback here is that you can't select people outside your party, for example, if you have Prince Rurik, then you can't press a button to select him, you have to clik on his name in the party window.

Thanks for the reply Kedjek. I do have a key bound for "next enemy" and "nearest enemy" (both of which I always use) as it is easier to cycle through the enemies rather than click on them individually.

I guess my question is, do they have a similar command for "next ally" that you can use to quickly cycle through allies. I have tried the "Target Ally 1", "Target Ally 2" individual keys but with all of my skills bound to keyboard keys for quick access I find its easier to use the mouse for ally selection and the keyboard for skill use. I just wish I could use my mousewheel or mouse4, mouse5 buttons as a toggle to quickly cycle through allies with one hand while i'm spamming heals/enchants with the other. Then allies like rurik would be included perhaps... Anywho, I'm guessing now that this option doesn't exist....

Sorry if my question is not making sense. I'm new to MMO's and recently stopped playing FPS's and am used to quick access to weapons by fully utilizing all the mouse buttons and wheel...

Is it easier to play MMO's via keyboard only? Hrmmmm... i might have to try that...

Speaking of binds..... I bought a gaming keyboard when I got this computer. I can't seem to get any macro's to work within the game. Any pointers? do they not allow macros? what are some good marco ideas

The only thing that I use the mouse for in Guild Wars is occasionally repositioning the view when it's blocked by trees or something like that; and for picking up loot dropped from monsters.
