55 characters.
Just wondering, is the any reason you would require the highest armor in the game? Thinking about finally making one for my Necro, would rather pay 150g for each peice of armor than 1.5k. I wouldnt think so because the basis is using prot spirit.
Someone told me that the frog talked about a Prot Spir nerf...who knows though.

So you can use the armor with the sup rune in other situations.
If you never plan on doing that, or the sup runes are particularly cheap (and making the armor is not difficult) then you can just have another droks piece for that purpose.
In my case, my 55 necro, 55 ele and 55 monk like to switch primary attributes, so they need to switch sup runes. If I am lazy i will just use part of the 55 armor. Sometimes that is not good enough though, because I also want the right headpiece, but it will do in a pinch. And anyway, its only 1.5k right?

I have fourteen pieces of armor including headpieces with Droks Ascetic for my monk which lets me switch around to whatever setup I need from 55 to Heal to Protection builds. The Droks armor has the energy and armor level and gives more flexibility.

You can use any armor level with the build, its irrelevant.
For the N/Mo 55 build, the only two runes that matter are Curses, and Soul Reaping, so a Wicked Scar Pattern with a Superior Curses Rune, and cheap armor with all Superior Soul Reaping runes (they tend to be the cheapest)works well.
The 55 Me/Mo I made uses HoD armor, and it works just fine.
Now, what I do, so that I don't waste superior runes is to use Drok's for all the head pieces (one for each attribute), and use cheap armor / runes for the rest of the build.

Exactly - which is why I don't put those runes on inferior armor that I won't want to use in other builds. Although it is a big investment up front, it gives the best long term flexibility to your character.

Monks is a whole different story. I would've used presearing armor if I didn't throw it out on my N/Mo. I bought the cheapest armor ascalon has to offer and put sup SR rune on all parts with a drok wicked scar patter + sup curses rune.
Monks on the other hand, don't have the luxury, sup runes are way too expensive to simply put on some presearing or ascalon armor.

Yeah, since scar patterns for necro arnt introduced until LA i'd buy them there. And I already have 3 head scar patterns with Sup Runes on them, so Its not a big deal

I think that one is just for the face, the ones in LA also only cost 150g, and are for the entire body. I could be wrong.
