I agree...
Sanctum used to be a walk in the park, until they introduced a nasty mesmer to the end of the mission.
He is a piece of cake if you fight your way down, but a real pain for a single runner (or a wammo anyway) - enchantment stripping, guilt - nasty stuff.

But Granite to Copper - that is a killer, and the only run left in the game I have never done.

I rate order of difficulty as such (hardest to easiest):

1. Granite to Copper
2. Elona
3. Iron Mines to Copper
4. Droks
5. Warcamp to Granite
6. Sanctum Cay
7. Everything else (including Rankor to Warcamp, Ascalon to Desert, LA to TOA, Desert Running etc)
Heh I have yet to find the trick to doing Warcamp to Citadel. and would rate it as # 2 unless you are able to control your party members, in which case it is a cake walk. Elona reach isnt the 2nd hardest for me I'd say, at first I died quite a bit, but once I got the hang of it, I find it fairly easy probably around 4th or 5th.

When did they add this mesmer to the end? I saw someone run it with purely stances and heal signet.

I ran it successfully 3 weeks ago, and then failed 2 weeks ago (and promptly helped guildie finish it the fighting way - easy).

I don't think it's that elaborate. I think these programs just blindly pick up everything. The updates don't always destroy the farming spots; sometimes they just make it hard to get to the farming spots without manual intervention (the worms in Lornar's Pass is an example of that). There used to be these chests that bots could simply run to and open to grab loot. Clearly, making it harder to run made it harder to get to those chests. Eventually ArenaNet gave up and simply took the chests out of the game altogether.

I knew about the dreadnought chests, farmed them myself. Even if that was the case- pick up everything, you're still going to run out of storage space within one or two runs.

The Dreadnought chests were an oversight, I think. All the chests in the game used to be like that. They didn't require keys, but they didn't drop very good items either. In the update where they dramatically improved the chest drops, they also introduced the keys. Since then they also randomized the locations. The developers had probably intended to remove the Dreadnought chests from the get-go, but had overlooked them because that area was visited so seldom before word of those chests got out About all you can do down there (aside from running through the area) is to cap Feast of Corruption. This is speculation, but I don't see why they would have removed every single "plain" chest from the game and left one in Dreadnought's on purpose. At any rate, when they made the update they admitted that it was because those chests made life too easy for the farmer bots.

would that be the teleporter outside of amnoon, if so ive been having the same problems just to do simple quests

You can actually kill them if you are not using a running build.

ArenaNet haven't made the game impossible, probably just hard to run...

These chest did drop nice things from time to time, about every 4th run I'd recieve at least one gold, and about every 2nd I'd recieve a purple. I also recieved a dwarven axe- a skin you can only get in HoH, appearently they dropped crystalinne sword skins but I never got one. Similarly, I was doing a droks run one day, asked if my runees knew about the chests, they did not, so I showed them the armor one. A gold popped out and I ided it- turns out to be a Superior Vigor. Two days later the chests were nerfed. Its sad that bots do that to a game, the chests always excited me.
