Is there a way to get into the missions with my tyrian character on the newb island ?

Going into the Kaineng Docks through The Marketplace, and talk to the captain. He'll provide you with transport to the Monastery Island

As for the missions themselves, you cannot do them with a Tyrian Character.

You might be able to get around them, but I have not tried yet.
