I found a shredded little girls cloak outside of Sanctum Cay in the explorable area.

I stay in Pre-Sering as long as I can before it gets tedious. There are always thing to kill that give you experience. If you think that none of the creatures there give you experience, I could list some that do.

-River Drake. This is right outside of Ascalon, past where you find Gwen's broken flute.
-Scale Brood. This is in a cave thing near the place where you can find Devona. Its inbetween that and the place where you fight off some crawl for the "Trouble in the Woods" quest.

The only quest I used to miss was very far away. It is near Fort Ranik, which you can find by walking and walking east of Ashford Abbey. I usually only use parties, such as henchmen or real players, as a LAST RESORT. To that effect, I need to be about 3 lvls ahead of anyone who does use them to finish a quest.

Most of all, if Pre-Sering gets boring, move on. Have fun... :)

Pre-Searing quests

Not sure this is a full list, but helpful:

http://boards.stratics.com/php-bin/g...08&Main=543600

This one seems pretty complete and presents well:

http://gwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=quests.List

And I really enjoy the overview on GW Guru for Pre-Searing Ascalon, listing skills available and an approach to get what you need there without wasting a lot of time:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...lon-id1264.php

I used this approach mostly on my 2nd character. I came thru searing with all available skills, about 1000g, tons of crafting items and a bunch of charr hides, as a Lvl 8 with all the pre-searing armor upgrades. I farmed the Northlands about 3-4 times, but didn't waste a lot of time there.

There is a tattered cape north of Fisherman's Haven. I have not figured out what it is for. Perhaps that is the other item spoke of in the neverending quest to ascertain the whereabouts of Gwen.

If you're sick of it by now like me and want to lvl a bit pre-searing just kill the rogue bull over and over again and don't get the reward from Lady Althea (Mesmer's Burden). I find its the easiest level 5 kill over the drake and brood as the drake has blind (if I remember correct) and I think the brood may have empathy? You can kill the flamer's and any grawl on the way and its a pretty short walk. If you REALLY want to level more than 5 or 6 for whatever reason go kill lots of Charr over the wall. A halfway decent monk paired with any class does just fine. You'll see they drop pretty decent weapons (particularly the bosses) for pre-searing which makes life all the more easier.
