That's too much for one man. I haven't done all the pre-seering quests. I usually get to about level 5-7, then I split. I still haven't figured out what to do with the Tapestry Shread. So here are your answers...

- There are a lot of quests :D
- No, I don't have a list :P

When I leave the pre-seering area, I usually have a lot of quest items left over. You know, like when you buy a do-it-yourself kit.

The Wiki is looking more like a good idea every day. I'll have to continue my research.

The quests are a fun and easy way to level early on, though. I don't remember all the quest names and locations offhand, but if you need help on one, feel free to post the question. I can probably help. I have done many of the pre-searing Ascalon quests, but I still haven't figured out what to do with the tapestry shred. I don't know what to do with the Hunters' Ale, either.

You drink it. There's a subtle but somewhat disorientating graphical effect upon drinking the Ale. :)

theres some great controversy about that shred. some say it is linked to gwen's broken flute. some say it has something to do with finding gwen after searing. who knows...i just think it isnt implemented yet and that they are pondering what is the best way to use it

I have both the shred and Gwen's post-searing flute but have yet to see any sign of her.

Apparently there is a third item you can find in the Kryta region's explorable areas. I'm checking this out at the moment.

EDIT: The rumour is true

I try to get out of Pre-searing as soon as I can. I just get all of my skills, do all the easy quests for the skills and then run out as fast as I can.
