So I'm making my Rt and As on the 24th. I know I'm going with a /Mo for my Rt, (my first healer) but with the assasain I'm not sure what to go with. I was thinking Necro, due to the fact that I dont have any form of necro in my account. What's the pro's and con's of an As/N? TIA

I might suggest a /ranger or /war for the various increase in attack speed, through this you'll get more critical hits... and with the evasions that the as is suppose to have frenzy shouldnt hurt you as much as it would hurt a war

what i was thinkin was a A/N--Spiteful Spirit mainly--My guess is since the Assassin can shadow step (teleport) you could cast SS then just jump around rapidly using every shadow step move you got... plus some teleport skills give you health...

I'm thinking of making an assassin, but need help with deciding what sort of skills I should get. I was hoping to make a combo that was charge in, attack, cripple or knockdown then teleport away. Unfortunately so far all I've done is look at the skills list and make a 6 move combo all out of assassin skills

Crippling Dagger + Impale + Iron Palm + Jungle Strike + Death Blossom + Moebius Strike, then maybe Return to go and recharge your energy afterward...

Of course, this would mean the assassin would have to have at least 30 energy, and also leaves one slot which would probably be a Res Signet or healing spell, so the secondary class is not even there for the moment... Also if Iron Palm was countered the rest would fall apart, Return would be the only option unless I feel like going toe to toe until Iron Palm recharges (20 seconds)
Anyway someone could suggest something to change? Or do you really need a secondary profession...

By the way, are skill points for new characters in Factions going to go up to 200 through the missions, or will we need to do a quest to get from 185 to 200?

I changed my Assassin to a A/Mo because I do not use any of the ranger skills anymore, so now I have rebirth other then rez.

You are going more deadly art then what I did. You don't have to use this, but here is what I have right now.

Unsuspecting Strike - Fox Fangs - Repeating Strike - Death Blossom - Critical Eye - Critical Defenses - Death’s Charge - Rebirth

I have maxed out Crit(16) and dagger(14) the rest are in what ever, to little to matter.

With all the crit and crit eye on you have a 43% chance to land a crit. I can tell you this, crit assassin are the most damaging assassin of them all. I land about 50-60 a crit hit. When I get the cap I will use dark apostasy. Also to get the 30 extra Apoints you need to complete two quest, just like in the first chapter. They both can be found on the starter island.

This is exactly why I started with an A/Mo; I saw right away that rebirth was going to be the only outside skill I was going to want to use.
If I could pump up Expertise for the Ranger profession yes.. but as a secondary you can't do that. ...so A/Mo it was for me too. That being said, I know some A/R use Apply Poison for their daggers which is cool with the preorder daggers we have.

I did that at first, but then you find out really quick that is just isn't that effictive. Hell I rather use Poison shot with my ranger then apply poison.

Crippling Dagger says that it cripples fleeing foes, would that mean if I was moving towards a target and they were also moving towards me, they would not be crippled by this skill?

I don't use lead attacks on my assassin unless it's for temple strike or an interrupt, they cost a load of energy and they're not even that good. I went as A/Mo for a while for Live Vacariously.

Golden Pheonix Strike, Twisting Fangs, Death Blossom, Return, Shadow's Refuge, Dark Escape, Live Vacariously, Rebirth.

Then I met my good friend Aura of Displacement, so I went to A/Me.

Golden Pheonix Strike, Twisting Fangs, Death Blossom, Aura of Displacement, Shadow's Refuge, Dark Escape, Distortion, Resurrection Signet.
