Default Second Professions

What would be a good second proffession for an Assassin.

I was thinking of going mesmer or necromancer but then the assassin dosn't have much energy and the cost for those skills is huge.

I don't know about the ritualist as a second. It seemed to have some cheep healing skills like Generous Was Tsungrai. But then that skill will stop your attacking.

I was thinking of Elementalist or Warrior for there armor bonuses.

I don't know why i would go Ranger. Heard that there traps would be good with assassins.

Monk sounded like a W/Mo with lower armor rating.

In the end I went with Warrior. Why? because of Frenzy and Watch Yourself. Think about it the assassins daggers are really fast. If you combine it with Frenzy your attacking faster. This means more adrenaline, and more critical hits. Depending on your critical strikes attribute you get energy for more critical hits. Then if you use Way Of Perfection you gain more health for each critical hit.
Or i could put a bunch in hammer master and get a nice hammer than put more in critical strikes wich would give more dammage to hammers.

Anyway what would be a good second for an Assassin?

Ranger or Elementalist. You've seen shock warriors, why not a shock assasin.

I was wondering if maybe Assassin/Monks could be the future runner.

They probably will not become the new runner. Runners have been nerfed pretty much anyways. A lot of their "dodging" skills take time to cast, so if you are running, you have to cast, then start running, where as the speed increase which is core to warrior runners have 0 cast time and can be cast while they are running.

I went for monk secondary for my assassin. i found i really only use breeze to get a regen of 10 when combined with shourd.

for assassin runners...well i know a couple that went back to Tyrian to try it out. havent heard how well it worked yet. im sure it will be similar to the ranger runners...

A/N may work ... something like shadow of fear followed by weaken armour. That will slow your attackers and weaken the armour ... then fox fang away

A/E would be pretty interesting with earth magic because of all the closeup damage you can do and then run/teleport away when the damage is done.
