Mega Man 9 Review

Posted 09-22-2008 at 10:06 PM by Photics
I'll just get right to it. I was incredibly disappointed with Mega Man 9. I dropped $10, plus 81 cents tax, on my new 66 block WiiWare game. My expectations were low. I wasn't expecting to be amazed. I was just looking for something fun to play. Capcom's retro game was not it.

There was something special that made Mega Man 2 lots of fun. The music was entertaining. The design was colorful, cute and creative. Having purchased Mega Man 2 through the...

My Aquarium - My Wii Fish Tank

Posted 09-18-2008 at 08:42 PM by Photics
There's something relaxing and entertaining about a fish tank. Yet, it's also cruel. My fish tank was more like a death tank. Like many little kids, I attempted to care for my colorful little creatures. I liked my guppies, with their attractive tails. I would carefully pick out my favorite fish, bring them home from the local pet store, put my fish in the tank and flush them down the toilet in about two weeks.

My fish died!

Today, I could probably do a better job...

Super Mario Galaxy Review

Posted 12-06-2007 at 10:47 PM by Photics
Super Mario Galaxy represents one of the biggest problems in running a gaming website. In order to write a review, you have to stop playing the game. While Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy to the Wii on November 12, and I was one of the first online to get it, I'm just now getting around to writing this article.

Originally, I was cynical. My first experience with Super Mario Galaxy was at a demo Kiosk, in a local retail store. I wasn't terribly...

Call of Duty 4 (PC) Review - A Reason For Pacifism

Posted 11-26-2007 at 11:56 PM by Photics
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare was not the easiest gaming experience of my life. First I had to prove my age just to buy the game, and then I had to battle with technical issues. Is CoD4 really worth the trouble, considering the glut of First-Person Shooters on the market?

I'm not a big FPS guy. It's hard for me to get excited about another military shooter. Call of Duty 4 is far from original. I think the number "four" in the title might have been the first clue. Plus, the...

Exteel Review - The Best Things In Life Are Free

Posted 11-21-2007 at 09:24 PM by Photics
Who doesn't love giant, dual-wielding, mechanized, robots? Exteel is loaded with mechanized warfare. The instant I held down both mouse buttons, I laughed loudly. Gleefully I held down the triggers, firing rounds into a crate. But wait, there's more! In Exteel, you get to fight against other giant robots!

"How much would you pay for such an entertaining experience? Exteel is not $49.99. It's not $29.99. It's not even $19.99. Through the beauty of Internet distribution and alternative...
