I spent about 3 hours in line at a Toys'R'US last night that was opening at midnight. They had 170 units, I bought unit 150 or so, and there were plenty of people behind me.

  6. Electronics Boutique
  7. GameStop (two of them)
  8. Circuit City
I was at Zellers (similar to a Kmart) this morning to pick up my pre-ordered unit. They had 16 in the store, 14 were pre-ordered, and the last 2 didn't last long. I went to EB to pick up my copy of Zelda, and they had 75 Wii available, 30 of which sold while I was in line for Zelda, and there were atleast 50+ people waiting in line behind me.

BestBuy said they were getting 15-60 Wii per store, and there were people in the line at EB who didn't get one from there.

After watching some of the live Gamespot coverage of the Wii Launch last night, I am not surprised that the Wii is selling out.

I personally think the Wii is going to blow out everyone of the consoles. Here is what I think:

Gameplay > Graphics

Now, I don't want 2D graphics anymore for Consoles (Handhelds are ok), but if the graphics are OK, and the gameplay is bad, I'd buy it!

Lol I would only buy a game if it got a rating of at least 8.5 on GameSpot. I am quite picky about what game to buy.

Clearly I am the only one who supports the 360 here. Well, the 360 if you like online games I guess you would choose that. First of all, lots of mmos and mmorpgs are coming to the 360. But right now, its mostly a flood of shooting games. Grand theft auto rip offs good rip offs actually. So many people play online. But the bad thing about playing online on the 360 is you have to move on evetually. Because if you have a friend who will play a game for 2 months, then buy another one, there's a problem. All you really need to do to have fun is get gears of war. The games are really good to me and a lot more good games are coming for the 360.

The thing is there is really no best console. I prefer the 360 as most of my friends, but lots of people disagree. And lots of people agree but the 360 is very good. Especially with the coming of the game mass effect, which is possibly going to be one of the most interactive rpgs ever. It's a 360 exclusive. Plus' there is elder scrolls 4 oblivion 'also a very good game. Plus rainbow six vegas. Oh and if you can't keep up with buying games, you can also download the multiplayer demos for games. Which are usually very popular lots of people play those. So you could do that if you can't keep up. Plus the 360 is not just for gaming. You can watch dvds, listen to music and download videos. So now that's all I have to say for now.

You know, I would probably have my vote for ps3 if it was backwards compatible. I do not buy video games/console very often, come on I'm 13, where will I get the money to do that? However I did get a ps2 last April and i have loved it. I buy game consoles mostly for backwards compatibility and game play. I loved ps2, i have stocked up a few games for it. Am I going to buy the ps3? No. It wont play ps2/ps1 games. I have both... and I want to keep playing them over and over. not buy the second version or next gen ones! goodness. And second of I have wanted a SNES for YEARS! I loved Zelda and super Mario. I know I'm a bit young. but they are so much better than most. I am buying the Wii mostly on that last decision.

Sorry if this post is pretty random and has no point, but I am tired. And I'll edit it later.

you're way off base with your assumptions there..

As much as I'm pro-Nintendo these days, I do intend to get a PS3 eventually.. probably in 3 years or so, after I get an HDTV and it drops to a half reasonable price. After all, I'm going to have to buy one in order to play the next game in the "I.C.O." and "Shadow of the Colossus" series.. SotC justified my purchase of a PS2.

All three consoles have their merits, (X360: amazing online features; great graphics PS3: unprecedented computing power; Backwards Compatibility Wii: New game play experiences; Virtual Console) this is going to be a great generation for gamers

Yeah, I had that where I live as well. Luckily, I got my Wii of a friend who "didn't like the fact that you had to interact". Why buy a Wii then?! Ah well, he is the reason I have it, so I'm happy!
