guildwars.com has posted a link to the prima e-guide. This link contains a sample chapter from the guide that showcases (you guessed it!) Elementalists. Among the goodies found in this sample chapter is a listing of elementalist skills along with their locations. Grab it while it's hot!

I don't care what it says about the E/R combo. I have been playing as an E/R since I made my first character over a year ago (E3 For Everyone), and I have yet to find a combo that I am better with.

My build is 12 nuke / 12 energy / 3 whatever. I pick Ranger as a secondary for two reasons... a pet... and speed. This has been proven effective in GvG... where we defeated an alpha guild in less than 90 seconds.

But I've been wondering what an El/Mo would be like. That's what's nice about unlocking skills & whatnot. We can change things up.

Basically, anything with a Monk secondary will stay alive longer than others... usually ;)

An El/Mo would be good cause of the nuke's of the ele :D and the healing of the monk

But I have been experimenting with a Me/Mo. I recently saw one kill a Rift Warden in about 6 seconds. My build is going to be a 12+2/3 Domination, 12 Smiting, 1 Healing, and the rest in Fast Casting. The 1 Heal gives me some power for the heals, and Smiting does a lot of damage if used right. Of course, Domination also does a lot of damage. I had a Me/R in the beta, and both Energy Surge and Power Drain (Elite) drained 8 energy from foe, and did 11 dmg per energy lost. Thats a total of 88 dmg each spell, and when used on a full energy ele along with anti-casting spells and Posion Arrows (which work with a wand by the way) I could kill fairly fast and easily.

Wow i just found out that i can change my secondary class if i want to.....so if ele/monk is good i might try that instead. Although, I want to try the zoo keeper build before i change anything.

Make a PvP character and test it.. currently it takes longer to get the skill points to buy another secondary profession's skills than it does to start a new character :/

in that case i think i should make a E/Mo character with my original E/Me to help it out. I find that E/Mo would be good since Elementalists have so much Energy...

I've played an elmo as a monk before and it is good, though nothing beats the healing power of a pure monk. It's fun to have all that extra energy but a real monk can last forever on 40 energy
