I don't think this policy made us hard to get into, and it went a long way in making sure we didn't constantly have people giving us a bad image.

TnC was accepting most members, but I thitnk they have resorted to this as well.

I dont think trying to eliminate racist, rude, spammers, general nuisance to the guild wars community from our alliance is elitism. :o

If you want to take it to an extreme then yes, this is technically elitism. But seriously, think about it, this is a sort of elitism that occurs everywhere. Just because we have standards won't make us look bad and most people will understand that not accepting complete morons who are disrespectful is not a bad thing. I suppose setting standards is a form of elitism but im not afraid to admit i support setting standards. You can call me elitist if you want...

No one with an understanding of logic would call standards a form of elitism.

It costs $8-$10 to see a movie... is that a form of entertainment for the elite? No... because anyone who buys the ticket gets a seat. You don't get a seat more special than anyone else. First Class on an airplane is elitism, as you have to pay extra to get that seat.

We are not dividing the community into classes. We're not calling anyone noobies. We don't think we're better than everyone else. Go look up the word...

There's a difference between making sure everyone works together and follows the rules, rather than having a system of classes.
