I've been trying out an ele/mes in a pug.. using aura of restoration, air attunement and ether renewal, with a 10 energy spell I was getting damage to the target.. + 72 health and + 15 energy for each lightning spell I cast
ether renewal lasts for 10 sec and has a 30 sec recast... aura of restoration and air attunement lasts about 60 sec each, so you can efficiently use ether renewal twice within the duration or restoration and attunement
just keep aura of restoration and air attunement on at all times, then use ether renewal when you need more healing and/or need to refill your energy reserves
I bring chain lightning, lightning orb, enervating charge, lightning strike (quick 5e spell to fill up energy while ether renewal is on) and backfire
enervating charge induces weakness which makes a melee's attack worthless and makes him vulnerable to a knock down from stoning.. back fire keeps a good player from casting or kills an ignorant one

domination: 10
add a protection monk and the energy/health gain jumps +4 energy and +14 health for each enchantment
