Here are several poems Ive written over the last couple of years. Hope you enjoy reading them. :)
Furry Love
You and I, lying together
in love's tender way,
one heart's rhythm, pulsing.
Silently shouting out
"I love you" with arms crossed, our
fingers and lips interlock.
Basking in the warmth of
firelight, two hearts, drumming
faster, vibrating the floor
underneath. Touching soft
skin, now touching soft
fur. Confusion, then amusement.
Our secret hideaway discovered
by adventurous felines,
their sand paper tongues licking
our skin, preceding giggles
and laughs and squirming. I
smile as you watch the kittens play.
You find my eyes and
smile back. Our souls speaking
more than words can ever say.

Here are a couple of haikus
Untitled
The pure snow sparkles
like cold fire in the sun,
numbing my bare skin.

Noises
Incessant droning
wearily fills my tired
and desperate mind.

Back to the longer (yet short) poems lol
Extraordinary
Extraordinary am I.
A lion resting in the shade
tongue hanging out, licking its chops.
Aware, yet not aware. Content.
A storm lashing out
throwing wind about,
terrifying and powerful.
A reed among reeds
flexible, yielding, yet staying
my ground.
Extraordinary I am.
I am remarkable.
Dexterously deceptive and simply innocent
and all in between.
Thunder filling the air, crackling,
roaring, predicting chance and change.
A feather, airy, twirling, and predicting the same.
Remarkably, I am.

Untitled
I look at the world and see
blue shades with yellow light
splashing water-sounds mingle
with the squeal-stop-squeal
of metal grinding against metal.
The taste of strawberries is on
my tongue. Sweet, but fading...
washed down with water, purple
tinged.
The slight smell of chlorine
taints the air as I sit and stare
into my own dreams. Absentmindedly
hoping for escape into the future.
Sitting and breathing, with a
waggle of my toes, sunk into
materialistic comfort, yet
stiff enough to keep me awake.
Just barely.
The tingle of blood racing
to catch up my leg into my heart
slowly painful, blunt pins and needles.
Giving way to once again, free-flowing
blood.
Distractedly, I'm awake. Thinking,
falling back into semi-conscious
obscurity.
Once more, sounds of rhythmic
water forced by motion and determination.
Aging and slim, beauty walks in and hands me a pass
to imagined eternal life.

Untitled
Blow on me a soft breeze
and let it catch on the tired
and wrinkled hands of time.
Show me the dried and flattened
flower we kept in tissue paper.
The one I gave you so many years
ago.
When the sunshine was bright
and the trees were green.
Emeralds under an azure blanket.
I looked and saw in the sky
a golden brushstroke slanting
in a field of gray -- receding,
diminishing, giving way -- that
could not dampen my mood.

Untitled
The moon rising over
a deep lake gently
glows upon a swan,
showering it with
effervescent dew.

Dark Fury
Sometimes clouds, bleak and black,
hide the sun.
Sometimes lightning, jagged and piercing,
cuts into calm.
But as long as friends are by your side,
the dark fury will not last long.
