Too many humans, not enough robots.

I'm not interested in the human aspect of Transformers. I just want to see giant robots fight. If that trailer was supposed to excite me, it failed. The cartoon movie was more exciting - great sound track & awesome animation. Hopefully, the trailer is a collection of all the boring stuff.

I'm sure there will be lots of Robot on Robot action .. but you don't want them to give away all the good parts in the trailer. I hate it when trailers give a plot summary and basically ruin the entire movie by giving the best parts away. This is a good trailer, we get next to no information and very few spoilers

True, if they're preventing spoilers, then that's a good idea. Yet, I'm worried it's something else. Did you have the misfortune of seeing the remake of King Kong? Wasn't it like an hour into the movie before you even see King Kong?

I'm worried that this version of Transformers is gonna to have the same problem.

Read that review... Roger Ebert actually commends Peter Jackson for making King Kong one of the most boring movies I've ever seen. Ebert also mentions that's how it was done with Jaws (Spielberg). Ummm... that's funny. I thought Jaws wasn't shown as much because the Mechanical Shark didn't work too well?

Read the nicknames for "Jaws"

Look at the slogan. "There war, our world." Yup, I smell pointless human drama thrown in. Ooohhh... the young couple is holding hands. Do you think they'll kiss?! BAH... like we don't get enough bad acting in other movies? Oooohhh... the poor little girl is going to get stepped on by an evil Transformer. WHO CARES?! Is there a planet eating Transformer like Unicron? Is there a funny song by Weird Al? What does this movie have besides computer graphics?

If you want all the specifics I can give you a link to the whole Transformers Script.. but I like secrets and surprises

After seeing this trailer I don't want to see or hear anything about the movie untill I get in the theater. It showed me that the movie will look stunning, it's got a few good actors and I trust the people behind the movie know what they're doing.

Michael Bay was the director for "The Island" "Pearl Harbor" and "Armageddon" which were all great movies. With Spielberg on the production team I don't see how this movie could turn out bad.

The only problem with the movies you mentioned is that the "monsters" can't talk. The Autobots are going to have dialog, so I bet they will show up pretty early in the movie and have a more central role.

The Transformers Movie probably wont be a Transformers geek's wet dream come true, but it will come pretty close. In order to appeal to more people they're going to have to base the movie on earth and there's going to have to be some human story, but I don't think they will let it overrun the movie. It looks like there's going to be multiple stories in different locations that will probably converge ala Independence Day.

The movie is in good hands, I'm not worried.

No... I'd rather not see that, thanks!

There's hardly any doubt that I'm going to see this movie. I don't want to spoil it. I'm purposely keeping my expectations low, in the hopes that I'll enjoy the movie more. I've been very VERY disappointed at the theathers recently. The last movie I truly enjoyed was The Matrix. Which... ironically... I thought was going to be terrible. A friend of mine wanted to see it, so I went along. WOW... was I ever blown away by that movie.

As for Transformers: The Movie - I just want to see giant robots fight. Is that so wrong? Hopefully, this movie isn't bogged down with pointless human drama! I visited the official site... http://www.transformersmovie.com/ ...and I admit that I'm interested. I'd like to enjoy going to the movies again. I don't want to feel like the $10 would have been better spent at the PC game bargain bin.

So, to give this movie a fair chance, I'm going to be very cranky about it... like an old man who yells at kids for walking on the lawn.
