I really wasn't kidding. I have been saddened by the loss of each competitor to date, Macron more then most. He and I talked quite a lot. I make an effort to try to talk with my competitors for 2 reasons.
First is to guage thier intentions and abilities. In this I aim at trying to figure out whether they are truly decent competition to me, or just someone that will fall by the wayside.
Second is to establish a working relationship with them. This is a matter of understanding that nothing in the game is personal, and we are both aimed at doing our best to be on top. As players come and go, I talk with them and determine whether I should proceed to this second stage of relations.
Tseng proved beyond any doubt that he deserves my respect. I have actually been missing him for quite some time, as his relative dormancy is noticeable.
RogueBATTLE still provides a nice mix of competition and cooperation that simply isn't possible in Flash based games. They are fun, but they are only momentary diversions. If you are concerned about your bandwidth usage then by all means go for the Flash based arcade; if you want games with some depth and some level of interpersonal relations then you have to have a multi-player type of game. No matter what though, this is Tseng's topic.
I already miss you, and your not gone yet.
