Forum Rules - Guild Wars Outpost

For your convenience, Photics.com now has a Trade forum. It is called the "Guild Wars Outpost". The idea is simple. Instead of spamming a bunch of text in Lion's Arch - American District 1, you can post here instead. Why waste time? There's a private messaging system here at the Photics Forums. A friendly email alerts you to a new private message. Instead of standing around, you can get back to playing the game.

• Loot For Sale - Start your threads with [WTS]. Don't sell junk. Don't be greedy either. If you're looking for top platinum for your loot, go elsewhere. List all of the item information in your posts, along with how much you want for it.
• Want To Buy - Start your threads with [WTB]. Don't be a beggar. If you're looking to buy something, mention how much you're looking to spend. If your offer seems too low, your post will be deleted. Be reasonable and be respectable. Make serious offers.
• Price Check - The Guild Wars economy can be tricky. It's hard to properly gauge the price of items. Yet, this is not the place to debate about it. Stick to your own posts and stick to facts. If you sold something for XYZ gold, that's not something for debate. In other words, "I sold that sword for 5,000 gold" carries more weight than, "I think you could get 5,000 gold for that sword."
• The Gathering - If you are looking to join a Group, Guild or Alliance, you can post here. Recruiting is also allowed. But in all cases, be specific! If you're starting a mission to beat Thunderhead Keep, mention the start time, the professions needed, if you're going for the bonus, etc. The more intelligent your post, the more likely people will be willing to rally to your cause.

Here are some other rules...

• Trades should be for in-game loot only. NO REAL WORLD TRANSACTIONS!
• Use proper English. Capitalize letters if they're supposed to be capitalized. Don't abbreviate words. Check your spelling.
• No insulting other players.
• Photics.com is not responsible for scams. If a player rips you off, this is not the place to complain. Watch your trade window carefully.
• FOLLOW UP! If you post an item for sale, post up when it has been sold.
• Don't Spam. There isn't an official limit on sales, but try to limit yourself to one active sale at a time.
• Stay on-topic!
• Be respectful. Remember, we are a community. The idea is to make life easier for players in Guild Wars. Try to work together.

Remember, threads can and will deleted without warning. If your post was removed, don't wait for an explanation. Read this thread, figure out why your post was deleted, then don't do that again.
