Is host rocket a paysite?

I don't get paid to do this and I sure don't want to lose money doing it.

If anything -I will get another website to host it.

Once your site gets popular, you can run your own advertisements. Then, you can make your money back. Right now, HostRocket is having a sale. the price is mad cheap! You can read my Fansite guide if you're interested...

My suggestion still stands. Why don't you donate your comics to this website? Your name... real name if you would prefer... can appear on each comic. It's a great way to get your name out there. You could even do both. Be like a syndicated Guild Wars cartoonist. Donate your comics to all of the elite sites, then put your website name in your comics. You should get a nice healthy surge of popularity and traffic.

If you do go the way of syndicated cartoonist (especially for free), make sure to demand total artistic control.
If you ever read Liberty Meadows you will know the problems that syndicated cartoonists suffer from.

That's an unrealistic demand.

If one week, the cartoon is great... then the following week the cartoon is made up of stickfigures... I wouldn't publish it. Heh, unless there was a good reason for stickfigures. The only way to have total artistic control is to run your own site.

One of the hardest things about a career in creativity... you're often not creating for your own personal wants and desires, but the ideas of others. In many situations, these people will have an extreme inability to express their vision to you. Typically, the best they will be able to convey...

I like it...
...or...
I don't like it.
