Here's an idea that I've been kicking around. There's one thing that the Guild Wars fansite kit lacks, but I think it should have - a Guild Wars vBulletin theme. You might notice the different themes at this site. There's Ambiance, Nual, Retro Blue and the vBulletin default. I think there should be a theme that is specific to Guild Wars. It should have a look that matches the game. I'm thinking maybe we could work together on this template project, then release the template to the Guild Wars community. Lots of fansites use vBulletin.
Here are some of the design requirements...
- Room for the Fansite Seal (Elite, Official, Speciality)
- Clean look & Clean Code
- Forget about the metal swoosh... I hate that look.
(The Guild Wars interface needs a serious overhall!)
- A Guild Warsy Feel. (That means Forum Icons too!)
- The Guild Wars copyright text would have to go somewhere. "Guild Wars is a trademark of NCsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Blah blah blah..."
Naturally, there would be a link to Photics in the credits. Depending on how many people work on this project, their Photics.com forum names could appear too. For example:

Imagine your name on thousands of Guild Wars pages. Now that's cool! So... who's with me? Post up a link to some design samples and let's see if you're worthy to join the project. You don't need to have vBulletin to participate. That will be my job. You do need a strong understanding of HTML, CSS and a graphics editing program. This is a volunteer project. I'm also obsessive about enforcing copyright - so only original stuff is allowed. Well, aside from the stuff we can rip out of Guild Wars.
