If you could talk to the developers, and they have been known to visit this forum, what would you want to see in Guild Wars 2? Say you were on the subway with Jeff Strain. There's only one stop left in your trip. You only have time for ONE feature request. So Jeff says something like, "Man... this trip was grueling. But since you helped pass the time, I'm going to add anything you want to the game - within reason obviously. What do you want to see in the Guild Wars sequel?"

My answer: SINGLE NAMES!

I don't want to be... P H O T I C S -or- T A N K ...in Guild Wars 2. I'd like a single name, no spacing tricks... just Photics and just Tank. Millions of names are invalid, just because they can't be singular.

Mike says, "Wow Jeff, that's mighty nice of you. Now that I think about it, you've already addressed every major gripe that I've ever had with Guild Wars. I imagine there would be a new interface with the sequel too. There's only one thing left... my name. You think we can get rid of the spaces and just make it Photics?"

I will delete posts that do not follow the rules. Limit yourself to ONE FEATURE REQUEST. What is the single most important thing that you'd like to see in Guild Wars. Don't say something that's already going to be in the sequel. If this thread is popular enough, I will contact ArenaNet directly and make sure that they see it. Also, put your roleplaying hat on. Pretend you and Jeff Strain are talking about Guild Wars 2. You can choose the setting. What would the conversation be like?

I already said it in the other thread: I want naval battles.
I want to be able to buy a boat to my guild, hire crew ( maybe from the guild) and sail throgh the unending ocean, fighting corsairs in the high-seas and taking passengers from island to island (just like running! ). If I had a ship in my guild, they could also be useful for naval GvG.

I want more storage. Perhaps an additional storage vault accessed in the guild hall with sub areas for weapons, runes, materials etc.

Jeff, I would like more customization for guilds and guild halls in guildwars - such as making ranks and giving them certain priviliges, which I think would be very nice.

Looks like I will need to come up with a different idea as Anet will be quadrupling storage with this next update. Heh- maybe they are trolling the site for ideas .

They should rip off the portals from between towns/outposts and world combining them as one, like in (as example) Anarchy Online or World of Warcraft.

First of all: It would reduce loading times dramatically.

Second: It would give new smile to all the players faces when seeing another ppl doing something along the way when you are doing some quest or something.

Third: It would also give opportunity to lend a helpfull hand to fellow player when that someone is getting beaten up very badly.

They are doing that to an extent. It says so in the articule

I heard about a guy going to fight charr in pre-searing and found an oakheart with the name warthog so he tamed him and how he has a tree as a pet. Although this was probably a glitch or something, I think there should be ways to get one of a kind things that really stand out so you will remember people on your travels without exactly having to friend them or have them in your guild.
