Default That Guild Wars Online Thing

Photics there was a guildwars fanmade online game on your site and I liked the idea but you deleted. Before I could get my account to work and for me to try the game. Could you bring it back it sounded real interesting. But if you don't want to do that could I atleast get the link to the old photics.com please. Thank you for reading this.

Are you talking about Guild Wars rogueBATTLE? I took that down almost a year ago. I've been looking for something similiar, that will work with vBulletin, but I haven't found anything. I thought about customizing rogueBATTLE to work with vBulletin, as they're both written in PHP, but that would be extremely difficult for me.

There was no decay in rogueBATTLE. Once you got to the top of the ladder, you pretty much stayed there. Maybe after the 2007 Photics.com game design competition is over, a new project can be started. We never did get a collaborative project going. I think it would be pretty neat if we can make an RPG type game, based on Guild Wars 2, which ran in vBulletin.

Good idea, I'll help on it as much as I can, I'm learning simple bassic c++ programing soon, I know how to make a text program allready. I can make the credits I guess, but I need to know what programing your using, I might be able to learn java, my dad has some books on that.

There are some obvious roadblocks that stand in the way. If the game was to be an add-on to this forum, it would have to be written for php/mysql. That's not terribly difficult to learn, as there are plenty of tutorials online. The problem is that you'd have to write for vBulletin hooks. I don't know how one would make a vBulletin add-on without access to vBulletin files. I don't think I can just send those files to you, as that might be a licensing issue.

But hey, good enthusiasm! It's a start!
