Probably also worth noting that the item found in the kryta region has changed since release. Originally it was worth 100 gold and labelled as a salvage item, even though you couldn't salvage it. Now it's a question item worth zilch. Someone in ArenaNet is working on this...

You know... I could be wrong, but I think I influenced the creation of Gwen. Here's my evidence... at the end of Issue #13, there's an elementalist lady talking to Tank. The original joke was that Tank was looking at her breasts, so he wasn't really listening. I decided that wasn't a joke for the masses. Instead, I decided to make Tank go AFK. The elementalist says...

Which is funny, because Gwen says how she wants to be a Warrior like her daddy... but that the Mesmer outfits are better. Is the Elementalist at the end of Issue #13 the inspiration for Gwen, or did ArenaNet have this planned from long ago?

Gwen: My mommy said my Daddy died in the war.
Me: No Gwen, I am your father.
Gwen: Nooooo... that's not true... that's impossible.
Me: Search the forum pages, you know it to be true!
Gwen: Noooo... hey... wait... that's pretty cool.
Me: Yes, I suppose it is.
Gwen: Cool... buy me an icecream.
Me: Umm... OK... sure.
Gwen: ...and a Pony... I want a Pony!
Me: A pony?
Gwen: ...and a Mesmer Mask, like Althea.
Me: Sure Gwen.
Gwen: ...and flowers... I want more flowers.

So, how does it feel to have thousands of large, sweaty, heavily armed men wooing your daughter with flutes, flowers and red capes? And thousands of other people wanting to kill her. Not to mention having a daughter who enjoys dancing, singing and blowing people up?

What more could any parent want? She makes me proud! :D
