Lost In Ascalon #40 - Silence of the Soloist

Now that the news about Guild Wars 2 and 'Eye of the North' has been released, I find myself at a loss. I don't know what to do about this comic. Lost In Ascalon is about Gwen. She's was lost child. I say "WAS" because Gwen is no longer lost. It's pretty obvious that Gwen is still alive and that she will be making an appearance in Chapter 4, sporting an alluring Mesmer outfit. Yes Gwen, the outfits are cuter. Yet, innocence was also lost in Ascalon. That's why there's more to the storyline than just Gwen. Photics is starting to break down. In the years of hardship, many lives have been lost. With a bad omen looming over the fate of Devona, our hero is making a bad decision. Episode #40 illustrates the situation...

Photics doesn't Plop! If anything he would violently explode into a fiery supernova and destroy the World! Bahahaha..

That reminds me of Batman, back in 1989. From what I remember, The Joker pulled out this handgun. It had a huge barrel. Then, he shot the Batwing out of the sky. The aircraft hit the ground with a fiery impact. The people in the movie theater grew silent. The fate of Batman was unknown. At which point I asked a question, very loudly...

DO YOU THINK HE'S DEAD?!

Considering that this site is called Photics, what are the odds that I would kill off the main character? Consider this, how is Photics going to be saved? Who's going to revive him? How do you know I'm going to continue this storyline? Maybe I'm tired of making them. It has been over a month since the previous episode. Why should I continue when we all know that Gwen is going to return in Chapter 4? I can't write my own ending to this storyline, as ArenaNet has already determined Gwen's fate.

Do you think Photics is dead?

The next episode featuring Photics will be when Eye of the North is released, and Gwen will show up out of nowhere with a rez signet

turn the tables on the whole knight in shining armor rescuing the damsel in distress.. Gwen saves Photics.. that would be ironic

I like that idea. It would mean a six month vacation.

However, I've already completed episode 41. Heh, and that's not how it goes.

!!! I don't know what will happen next but i know it'll be good. I do love a good intrigue, and an irony or 2. I just know that somehow he doesn't die, like in batman. But I suspect that Devona is going to come and save him and then tell him that he needed her after all, and that he will never fight alone as long as shes still alive. But then that's my movie-going/book-reading experiences of heroes and relationship intrigue. If any of you haven't you should read the dark elf trilogy by R.A. Salvator, its pretty good on that kinda stuff.

Or even better! TANK charges in, kills everything and magically bring Photics back to life

Great! Although I've been waiting for an episode for so much time I felt it was a little small. But it was also good. I can't wait for episode 41 to know what happens. I have a preety big list of things I can't wait:
