I did it with henches as a ranger. It involves a lot of running around, but you have to remember that there are three ways to approach the base. Go to each of the three points and pull the straggler groups away from the main bunch and kill them. You may have to go between the three points several times to get them all, but when you pick off the groups one by one like that, it only leaves one or two max in the middle, who are easy to finish off.

Excellent advice!

I just finished it at 2:30 a.m. Saturday with my new Ri/R (which I insist on calling my "RitRay" ) and an A/Ele and henchies. I wanted to know if it could be done with that combo. It wasn't easy. Heck, it was bloomin' hard! But there's just something extra satisfying taking unexpected combos into a mission that you know to be pretty tough and then watching the baddies fall.

Ok, we fell at lot, too. I had so much DP I was seeing 6's and 0's in my sleep that night. But it was fun to beat it.

I find sometimes if you have to take hench to do it don't take the melee ones. If you go all ranged you tend to draw less of them at once. The Rt's in the middle are always a pain on hench because the hench group up and all the Rt's seem to cast rift at the same time.

If you really want to do it the easy way ask a guild member with an MM to help. I went solo with my MM just to teach them a lesson and had no troubles at all

I just did it for the first time, first attempt, with lvl 13 henchies and me lvl 14.

I ended up with 15% dp, but the trick is the same as it always is with hench,
aggro one only, then turn and run. Some will follow, kill them and repeat.
It is a bit slow, but you should get there.
