New Forum: Guild Wars Guides

At first glance, you might think that the new Photics Forum - Guild Wars Guides - is nothing more than recycled content. YOU'D BE RIGHT... mostly. I've brought back some of the old WordPress articles by dropping them into their own forum. You might recognize the Guild Wars Emote List or the trusty Performance Metering trick. Ah, but I've made something a little more special for you. Photics.com is renowned for the bonus mission guides. I figured it was time to have a version for Nightfall, but the PDF / Flash Paper format is getting stale. It's time for something new.

Photics Forum members now have access to exclusive Video Guides - FOR FREE! Well, at least you have access to one. Just check out the Nightfall Bonus Mission #1 - Chahbek Village thread. In this premiere episode, I'll talk you through the first Elonian mission. Enjoy the 640 x 480 resolution, in the familiar Windows Media Player format.

With the new Guild Wars Guides forum, you are invited to create your own Guild Wars strategy guides. You cannot create new threads in the Guild Wars Guides forum, but you can use the regular Guild Wars Forum. If a post is good enough, I'll move it over to the Guild Wars Guides forum.

You have the ability to reply to guide postings, but use this privilege carefully. It should only be used for two situations - To tell me what a great job I've done or to add helpful information.

You can use this thread to post general feedback about the new forum. I'm looking to see if you're actually interest in this idea. It takes a lot of work to create the new videos, but I think the results are worth the effort. There's a poll in the Nightfall Bonus Mission #1 - Chahbek Village thread. Would you like to see more video guides? Yes or no?

I have to ask, is it possible that you might make a series like this for Prophecies? Also, how do you make video?

It's not impossible, but very unlikely. There'd have to be a huge demand for it. I'd probably do Faction bonus mission guides first. At least I have the e-zine guides fpr Prophecies. I don't have any strategy information posted for Faction Bonus missions.

Nice! Hope you get quickly to gates of madness but there is also a great number of bonus I don't have.

hmm.. I never noticed Factions doesn't have bonus missions, just a Master's Reward for finishing it fast enough. Maybe an equivalent guide would be tips on how to finish each mission quickly?

The Prophecies bonuses would be neat in video format after the Night Fall series.. I don't really care for Factions.
