I have a few suggestions for the Photics.com website.

1. What happened to the nightfall guide videos? And the old mags/comics? I can't seem to find them. Are they still here? If they're not, you better put them back or I'm gonna write you a stern letter.

2. Activity? I've been doin' other stuff lately, I come back and theres no activity! Get in line people. Post something so I can post back! Someone has to start this chain.

3. Shall my guild join your worthy alliance eh? (Well my dads friends guild but im loyal to the end, and frankly we don't have an alliance at the moment.) And our leader is on a very lot.

4. Groups? This site needs groups. If Photics is to grow again, there are going to be hundreds of people in guildwars2 beta/alpha no? We need little sub-groups so we can find our friends and the people we know in the confusion.


And Photics, could you contact ArenaNet and make sure there's going to be a way to contact your buddies from guildwars on guildwars2. Maybe some sort of account-linkage, that lets you add all your buddies accounts or something?

Hi Moo. Here are the answers that you seek...

1. There's a dropdown menu on the main Photics.com page. Just look in the "Categories" section. There's selection for all three of the items you mentioned...

2. It does take activity from the community to get things going. Your post is a good catalyst for forum activity. There are a few problems to combat right now. One, some people are tired of rejoining the Photics Forums. Who knows if they'll stick around this time? Two, a large portion of content on this website has to do with Guild Wars. Since Guild Wars is in sleepy mode right now, it's not surprising that this site is also not as active. Three, the site is unfinished. I wasn't expecting to start running a forum again. That means the WordPress portion of this website and the vBulletin portion of this website should look the same.

Once vBulletin 3.7 is out of beta, I should be able to make design improvements to the site. More importantly, I'm going to try and import the old posts. I still have the old forum backed up, but the beta version of vbulletin doesn't have an import feature.

3. Fist of Photics is not in good shape to lead in the original Guild Wars series. Things should be quite different for Guild Wars 2. The original series is done. ArenaNet has moved on to the sequel, so it's hard for me to care about the orginal game. Logging into the game feels like walking into purgatory. What would we accomplish? What would be the goal of the alliance?

4. Ummm... if you haven't noticed, I've been upgrading the technology available at this site. You can create your own groups and you can create your own blog.

I've basically set up a nice place to play. A new plan has been created. It's just WAY early. Basically, I always wanted to run my own arcade. Yet, how much fun is it to stand around and count coins? Instead, Photics is something of a virtual arcade. It will be a place for gamers to hang out. The Photics Arcade will likely return, as I'm waiting for the new version of v3 Arcade. Fist of Photics will likely dominate in Guild Wars 2, but the guild is no longer limited to just one game. I'm figuring that there will be a surge in traffic once Guild Wars 2 is in public beta. Activity around here should pick up.

I plan on continuing the gaming news thing too, as having something to discuss is usually good for a forum!

I agree with #2, it has been quite quiet around here lately. I'm sure it will pick up the closer we get to GW2. Generally if any tasty morsels of info are dropped by ANet there will be a spike, but I expect it will stay for the most part this way until GW2 is playable.

As for guild activity I mirror Photics' sentiments. There's just not much motivation for us to continue with GW1.
