Welcome to the Photics.com Guild Wars Video Guide. I'm Mike Garofalo and this part 10 of the Nightfall Bonus Missions tutorial. This map is just downright silly. After seeing one of your friends have her eyes eaten out of her head, you're going to attend a social gathering. Heh... oh well, just show your invitation to the event planner to get things going. You only have one, which means you'll be going solo on this mission.
Don't worry about being alone on this map, as there is nothing to harm you. Well, at least not yet. The most difficult thing about the beginning of this map is talking to NPCs, so I suggest bringing a run skill. That will allow you to complete this map much more quickly. Just look for NPCs with exclamation points over their heads. You pretty much have to talk to all of them. So, running makes that easier.
The bonus starts right away. You'll see two children, and they're both too timid to dance together, so you'll have to break the ice. Use the dance emote to play matchmaker for Dende and Mina. Once they run off to play, you'll complete the first part of the bonus. There are five in total, and they're of similar difficulty.
Next up is a drinking match against Zilo the Drunkard. You'll have to drink 12 drinks before he finishes drinking from his keg. Just talk to the nobles and take their drinks. The screen will start to swirl around, making it somewhat difficult to move around, but you should still beat Zilo pretty easily. Unfortunately, these drinks do not count towards the Drunkard title.
For the third task, talk to Duel Master Lumbo. This will trigger a 1-on-1 match. This fight is pretty much a no-brainer, at least for an Elementalist. Other professions might have some trouble. Basically, you'll be fighting a Necro... so keep that in mind. If you are having trouble with this fight, use interrupts or anti-hex spells. After that, challenge Lumo to a duel of emotes. You'll have to repeat the same emotes that the NPC does. You can repeat this challenge as many times as you like. But if you're still having trouble, there's
an emote list at Photics.com.
There are many different ways to complete the last task. Since I felt bad about killing some random chick, I decided to five platinum to the Royal Finance Minister. If you think that's crazy, realize that this is a role-playing game and I like playing the good guy. Anyway, with all five tasks down, the bonus will be complete.
Now you'll be under attack. Even though you may have completed the bonus tasks, it won't mean anything if you die... so stay sharp! Let the guards deal with the harpies. At least, whenever that's possible. I basically killed the harpies the same way I always kill monsters... with fire, lots and lots of fire. Clear the area of the harpies and the mission will be over.
