I keep sprint on in case I am called upon to run like a Vindaloo, but I had an Idea for an alteration.

Sprint as we warriors all know makes us run 25% faster for a certain duration of time. Only the time is variable.

I suggest that Sprint reflect it's name cos 25% is a jog at least 50 or 70% max now were talking

50 or 70% is much more suitable then duration is also variable 9-12 seconds as it is now.

Could you imagine those are breakneak speeds thats a sprint.

Chime in I want NCS to hear about this.

Well, think about it. Normally you are running, right? There's no way to just walk (unless you have a speed reducing spell on) so you're running all the time. Then Sprint makes sense, cause a real sprint is about 25% faster than running

If your "Sprint" gave you more than 25% boost to your normal running, it would be veritably uncontrollable. You would probably be ricochetting off the landscape like a wild shot bullet.

I don't think I would like that, unless you had a really straight shot at something to get to.

why should we stop at 120% why dont we go up the 100000%...the point is Anet wanted it to be a reasonable and easy-to-manage number...and i think 25% or 33 % meets both criteria

why i dont think they will change it from 25% because they are trying to stay away from D2: LOD which they also developed then left bliz, a lot of skills are similar to LOD skills but there arent any over powering skills like LOD

Unless there is a cap to running speed, warriors can already run the fastest of any profession. "Charge!" + Sprint works wonders, and (granted I haven't tested this out yet) if you add something like Illusion of Haste or (better) Windborn Speed.... that would be like the wind indeed.

I know they didn't cap speed increases at 25%, but I'm not sure if it goes past 50%, having only "Charge!" and Sprint myself. You are still quite speedy using those together though. For those not versed on skill descriptions, "Charge!" and Sprint stack because "Charge!" is a shout and Sprint is a stance. Both Windborne Speed and Illusion of Haste are enchantment spells, so they would also stack with Sprint/Charge!/Rush/Battle Rage/Bull's Charge (all of which are warrior skills, though you could only equip 3 of these at the same time).

While other classes have speed-boosting skills, warriors have them in spades.

Does Charge! and Sprint stack? Can you start Sprint on yourself as a Warrior, then use your ranger 2ndary speed boost to stack on top of it?

Charge! is a shout and Sprint is a stance, that's the reason why they stack. The ranger speed boosts are stances, right? So then it wouldn't work as you can only use one stance at a time.
