I usually just have about 3 or 4 skills that do damage, 2 or 3 helpful skills (ex. troll ungent, healling spells, sprint) and usually a rez signet.

If your just starting just do what feels good for you. Make your own builds. It will help you to get into the game better if you try and make your own thing.

Based on what I see in PUG's the best build appears to be a Wa/Mo with Mending and make sure to wield a Fiery Dragon sword (don't worry if it is max). In battle just run ahead aggroing as many enemies that get in the way on the way to looting any chests that might appear. When cornered and actually fighting the only skilled needed is Frenzy and when your health drops below 3/4 be sure to stop fighting to type insults at the monk.

In all seriousness - check this section of the forum for build ideas as there are many good builds that can help you out!

I agree, if you're a beginner to guild wars, playing off of someone else's build will do no good.

Don't forget, before you start insulting the monk, hit your heal sig (while Frenzy is up).

I can't give you a specific build, but I can set some expectations. As the warrior, you are generally expected to tank. Many beginner warriors are under the impression that they are primarily damage dealers. This is a misconception. A good PvE warrior grabs the attention of those dangerous mobs and takes as much damage as possible so that the real damage dealers can do their thing without being harrassed.

Note: this does not mean you have to self-heal. You should generally leave that up to your healers, but you might want to bring an emergency heal for use in a pinch.

So, if you want to be respected as a PvE warrior, focus on defensive stances. An interrupt skill or two wouldn't hurt either. The extra damage you deal is icing on the cake. Your true value is in your ability to withstand a great deal of punishment.
