Ive heard the term 'aggro' and was wondering what it means. Could anyone explain this to me? Also, Ive never had a problem joining a group with my w/mo character. Sometimes, when I'm in a group, Im the only one left standing, so I have to restore the life of my teammates. I agree that its easy or hard, depending on how you play the game.

As far as the Warrior, I think they're the best starting class. They're the easiest and least frustrating class to play. They can kill monsters quickly. They have one of the best self-healing skills in the game. They can do amazing damage. They have great running skills too.

The only problem is that they are fairly weak for PvP. In the Pokemon battleground that is Guild Wars PvP, Warrior is one of the easiest to counter... blind, slow, wards, etc. Even the "IWAY" builds are terribly easy to stop.

i just started playing this month, haven't as much time as i wanted to play, but i started out with a warrior.
actually when i first logged into guildwars, i didn't realize the difference between pvp and roleplaying characters, and went straight to pvp. a dude there told me to make a hammer warrior with knockdown skills and use aftershock.

so i went to roleplaying and made a warrior, and it was basically a breeze going through pre searing. i learned the map, the controls, everything was great. i would reccomend anyone starting out to consider a warrior. after i hit post searing, i didn't like the character as much, and mage a r/me which is pretty fun, mesmers have some awsome skills.

i would also reccomend trying a mesmer/whatever too, it seems like a mesmer is a fun character. with empathy, conjure phatasm and ether feast nothing i fought had a chance (haven't tried char yet though)

warrior necro can make a pretty good offensive character and a potentially better self healer than a warrior monk

presuming youre tanking effectively and holding the aggro you can make
very good useof death magic

main tactics i use are...to hold a big bunch of enemies and keep them diseased
if they are fleshy targets..due to a nice spread of conditions around you
a victory is mine shout can give you the the equivalent of a monks infuse health
plus full energy again to repeat the process...along with a few stances and axe/sword skills in between to keep your dps and defense up

again if youre holding the aggro a nice putrid explosion will hit hard when an enemy dies nearby..alternate between putrids and soul feasts/consume corpse to damage and survive (as long as theres no MM in the team)

the ability to cause aoe weakness and reduced attack rates using curses would be the alternative..combine that with stances and youll take next to no damage
plague touch is sweet and spammable to get rid of all the conditions that pile up on you.

necro is a pretty sweet 2nd for a warrior who wants to damage as well as tank

I have a Warrior/Necro friend, Lord Stevie, who I often go on hunts with, he calls the build "Death Knight", its all curses. He carries an axe and a curses off-hand (gives him 50 energy). I've seen some good warrior builds, but for pure damage output, the Death Knight is awsome.

Although Stevie bleeds like a stuck pig, coz he gets careless when he has a good monk around (thats me incase your wondering), he is a self healer too.
