Yesterday, Amazon was selling a limited amount of XBOX 360 core systems for $100 each. That's an insane deal. Word of this offer quickly circulated around the net.

The Customer's Vote campaign basically lets Amazon.com visitors vote on their deal of choice. It was a no-brainer. The $100 XBOX eclipsed the other two offers. Word quickly circulated around the Internet. With huge demand and limited supply, it didn't take a master ecconomist to figure out what would happen next.
I was ready to hit refresh at 2pm EST, but the page would not load. Sure enough, plenty of other people bombarded the Amazon site. Basically, this campaign was a self-inflicted denial of service attack.
Did anyone else try to get the $100 XBOX?
