Default Waiting for the 65nn CPU

From what I hear, the XBOX 360 is a loud console. I also hear that it can get pretty hot. That's why I'm waiting for the 65nn CPU, which should run better than the original 90nn model. According to Wikipedia, the revision won't happen until mid-2007...

...which is why I've been holding off on buying an XBOX 360. What do you think about this? Should I continue to wait or should I just go ahead and buy a new XBOX 360?

Of course, I plan to keep waiting. I'm just making conversation. HA!

A cooling fan

What do you mean? Do you mean an external fan to cool the whole XBOX 360 system, or are you talking about a MOD? I wasn't sure, so I did a Google search. What do you know?! They make custom fans for the XBOX 360...

I like the lights on the Glow Stand Fan, but one of the reasons I'm waiting for the 65nn is because of the reduced power consumption. If the machine doesn't run as hot, it doesn't need as much cooling. Considering how many hours I could play a video game, that could be a lot of money at the end of a year.

No i bought this cooling fan at circuit city that you plug into the back of your console. Its not a mod you can ask for one at the stores.I got one because it will extend your 360s life span. But for me as I said is only loud when it starts up for while.Sometimes you have to turn off then on again. But these are just minor problems.I personally wouldn't wait because there are so many titles and you have to keep up.So i suggest you get it now.But all i am saying is get a cooling fan at the store. They will usually understand

Get it now. Your just hurting yourself further if you don't. If you don't have a HDTV then the HDMI is no issue and the 120 gig isn't a big deal either and even have the option of at later point in time after a price drop grabbing one. Only thing the elite does for people is it has HDMI and it's not even1.3 it's still 1.2 soooo it won't be the best but it will be an improvement. Just my 2 cents.
