Not really, do you know how expensive it is??? And why not just play all those games when they come to comp?? But still it looks cool, and is one of the higher end game-machines.

I just watched a video about it. I'm concerned about two things...
  • Where's the HD-DVD?
  • Is this 65nn?
Also, the price is a bit much too. I'm not sure I want to plunk $479. April 29th is not that far away. There are two other big purchases that I've been looking at, both are around the same time...Still... it's a black XBOX. That's really my favorite color for electronics.

What's the point of a black 360? If you already have a 360, it's like the a Gameboy Advance and SP, or the DS and lite. It's basically the same thing except it looks cooler.

According to this ars technica article, no.

Now, on to what the Xbox 360 Elite is not. This is not a console with a 65nm fabbed CPU in it. The innards are largely the same as the existing Xbox, so the 'great hardware refresh' is still out there, off in the distance.
This came out much too late in the game for me to be interested. I probably would have bought this version had it been out when I bought mine. But now that I have a 360, I don't need a second one.

The price of the 120GB hard drive is also a disappointment. I'd love to play around with XNA more and have space to upload lots of random projects, but $280 ($180 drive + $100 collectors club membership) is a bit too much for a hobby. You'll get a lot more for your money getting a 500GB hard drive for close to $100. It appears any XNA development I'll be doing in the near future will be for the PC only.

That's great, but I use memory cards. Plus, there is going to be a xbox 360 hard drive that you can buy. That plugs into your 360. So, I have no worries but I play Far Cry. I have to constantly delete maps for space. It's no worries if you have a game with no maps that people make. Plus, you'll basically lose a lot of your info in a game if already have one. I'm not saying it's bad to get one. All I am saying is why didn't they do that in the first place. They had plenty of time. But if you don't have a 360, you should get it. I'm just saying, if you're a 360 owner who already has one, then you probally won't get it. But if you're a hardcore gamer or hardcore Far Cry gamer (or don't have one) get it. It's sounds like a good idea. Maybe it will get more people to buy it, because a few people here now seem to want one.
