ArenaNet loves the holidays. Since this weekend is Easter Weekend, a festive event is expected. To celebrate the occasion, it’s “Sweet Treat Weekend” in Guild Wars. Here’s the official word… “This weekend, from Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) this Friday until 11:59 PM Pacific on Sunday, March 23, you will get a double dose of springtime goodness with random drops of Chocolate Bunnies and Golden Eggs in all the lands of Tyria.“

Guild Wars Weekend Event – Alliance Battles Bonus Weekend
The Kurzicks and Luxons are locked in a deadly battle, at least until the sequel of Guild Wars. For now, Faction Farmers can rejoice. Bonus faction points are available this weekend. Here’s the official word, “Starting at Noon Pacific (-8 GMT) this Friday, you will earn double faction for participating in Alliance Battles. This bonus will last through 11:59 PM Pacific (-8 GMT) on Sunday.”
Guild Wars Weekend Event – Hero Battles Offer Double Rewards
If you’re feeling romantic this weekend, Guild Wars may not be for you. The weekend event is a bit violent. Here’s the official word, “Hop into Hero Battles this weekend to earn double Balthazar faction and double commander title points. The double rewards will be offered from Noon Pacific (-8 GMT) on Friday, and last through Sunday at 11:59 PM Pacific (-8 GMT).”
NCsoft releases 4Q 2007 Earnings – Sales Down, Profits Up
With Tabula Rasa’s lukewarm launch, Guild Wars in slumber and other NCsoft games struggling to expand, sales numbers are 3% down. Yet, NCsoft managed to report a 14% increase in operating profit vs. the previous year. In a conference call for investors, tremendous insight to NCsoft’s strategy was revealed.

Celebrate Chinese New Year in Guild Wars
Happy Chinese New Year! ArenaNet celebrates the holiday in Guild Wars style. Here’s the official word, “Join us in Cantha this weekend to celebrate the Canthan New Year Festival. Decorations are placed in Lion’s Arch, Kamadan, and Shing Jea Monastery. The event will start in Shing Jea Monastery at Noon Pacific time (-8 GMT) on Friday, February 8, and will conclude at Noon on Monday, February 11.”
