The first three years of the first Donald Trump presidency were fairly normal, but that fourth year was an incredible mess. Looking back, Trump wasn’t the best at hiring the best people. Now that he has a better perspective, will he do a better job this time? Well, just look at the order of speakers at the Madison Square Garden rally. Before Trump spoke, it was his wife Melania. And before that, it was Elon Musk.
Trump said something interesting regarding Elon Musk, “we have to protect our geniuses”. (This was shortly after SpaceX’s historic catch of their Super Heavy Rocket Booster.) There’s a clear alliance between the two. This could have dramatic implications for the future of technology — and humanity in general.
The joke has been that Trump is assembling his Avengers. Elon Musk is like a real world Iron Man, while Trump has money like Batman. Yet Trump dodged a bullet like he was Neo in the Matrix.
Not everyone thinks of these two as heroes. And realistically, they are just men. Tesla still hasn’t delivered on full self driving cars and Trump hasn’t toned down the divisive rhetoric. He certainly doesn’t speak with political correctness. Yet, are the results of the 2024 election a reason to be optimistic?
Hopefully the world learned the lesson that diversity hiring is not a good idea. Kamala was not well received during the primaries of the 2020 presidential election, yet she was chosen for Vice-President. Joe Biden said he was looking for someone of color and/or not a man. Those are not qualifications to run the country.
People should be hired based on skill and merit. It was difficult to watch Harris campaign, as she couldn’t handle interviews. That’s the job! She didn’t successfully articulate how her plan to improve the nation would be better than with Trump.
The same problem happened with Joe Biden. We were being told he’s sharp, but the first 2024 Presidential Debate with Trump proved otherwise. The world is currently teetering on the edge of World War III because of this weakness in leadership. The enemies of the United States seized on that opportunity, as shown by Russia invading Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and Hamas attacking Israel on October 7, 2023.
Does a Trump Presidency mean a return to strength and prosperity? Many people, including Trump himself, believe it was the divine intervention of God that saved Trump’s life at the Butler Pennsylvania rally on July 13, 2024. Is it God’s plan to use Trump to restore America to greatness? Well, there is something that lines up. We’re about to enter a year of Jubilee. For Catholics, December 24, 2024 to January 6, 2026 is a year of celebration. But specifically in relation to a Trump win, Wikipedia says, “It is a year of reconciliation between adversaries”.
Trump is very polarizing. Lots of people really don’t like him. But hopefully, the country does improve and people find lots of good reasons to make peace and celebrate. Trump fans, even though the last 4-5 years were tough, don’t mock Harris supporters. Elon Musk, JD Vance, RFK, Tulsi Gabbard, these were not hardcore Trump supporters in 2016. So, hopefully it is truly a year of jubilee.
Knowing who will be president on January 20, 2025 was one of the missing pieces in planning the next big Photics project. An idea being considered is Tech News. One of the reasons why the country is so divided is hyper-partisan news. Photics is not usually about politics. It’s normally about technology. With the Trump-Elon alliance, and a surge in AI, the next year could be a busy year for tech.
…especially with a new Nintendo. 😄
“News is broken” was the first problem listed in the “A New Plan — Brainstorming” article. This could be a window to start a new tech journalism endeavor. Although, previous attempts to cover Tech News on Photics.TV (YouTube) have been underwhelming.
For the next two months, the plan is to decide on the next big Photics project. 🤔
