I’d like to say that Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare was the greatest game that I ever played. Unfortunately, I can’t do that. I can’t even play the game at all. After messing around for hours, trying to get the game to work, I’ve given up. At first, I thought it was my computer. After doing some research online, it seems that I’m not the only one with CoD4 technical difficulties.
As someone who doesn’t drink or smoke, I’m not used to being asked for my ID. Even when I was into Karaoke, the local bars rarely bothered to check my age. “Don’t worry about him. He’s just having French Fries and a Soda.” Yet today, I got a chance to feel young. I actually got carded to buy a video game. Call of Duty 4 is rated Mature!
Richard Garriott’s Tabula Rasa is now available. It’s a Massivly Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game – WITH GUNS! Yes, it’s time for another Sci-Fi MMORPG. After the quick demise of Earth & Beyond, I’ve been wary to dabble in the genre yet again. I looked at PlanetSide and Star Wars Galaxies. I was close to buying them, but something stopped me at the last moment. I’m getting that feeling again.
It’s hard for me to talk about Halo without getting nostalgic. When I first saw Halo on the XBOX, I knew I had to buy it. Wow… 2001… that seems so long ago. The combat, the action, the graphics… it was the best I had ever experianced on a console system. Keep in mind, I’m a veteran of Bungie’s Marathon. It’s what Halo was before it was Halo. For two straight years I played that popular Macintosh shooter, but I only played Halo on the XBOX for about two weeks.
Microsoft’s XBOX scored big when they landed the exclusive rights to this one. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, by BioWare Corp, is nothing short of amazing. With a quality storyline, superb graphics, top-notch audio, addicting gameplay and the Star War license, this game is an instant classic.
