NCsoft releases 4Q 2007 Earnings – Sales Down, Profits Up

With Tabula Rasa’s lukewarm launch, Guild Wars in slumber and other NCsoft games struggling to expand, sales numbers are 3% down. Yet, NCsoft managed to report a 14% increase in operating profit vs. the previous year. In a conference call for investors, tremendous insight to NCsoft’s strategy was revealed.

City of Heroes: Valentine's Day Romance – Manticore & Sister Psyche Wedding

Online games are microcosms of society. With February 14 drawing near, it is not unusual to see Valentine’s Day celebrations in virtual worlds. Yet, Cryptic Studios and NCsoft is taking the holiday to an extreme. Manticore & Sister Psyche, two heroes from City of Heroes, are getting married. The event also serves as a promotion for the City of Heroes Wedding Pack.

2/11/2008 Wii Virtual Console Updates – Harvest Moon and Lords of Thunder

Which would you rather do? Would you rather have a farm, get married and have children or would you rather blast your enemies to the sounds of heavy metal music? Farmer or fighter – that’s the choice created with this week’s releases for the Wii Virtual Console. 2/4/2008 Wii Virtual Console Updates – Operation Wolf and Columns III

Two new games hit the Wii Virtual Console today. Operation Wolf (500 Wii Points) is a shooter from the NES, while Columns III (800 Wii Points) is from the Genesis. New retro games typically hit the WiiShop Channel every Monday, 12:00pm Eastern / 9:00am Pacific.

Guild Wars User Agreement Modified

Guild Wars is an online game with no monthly fees. Yet, how long can the fun go on? Some of you might be wondering when the party is going to end. When will ArenaNet change their policies or ultimately shut the game down forever? When recently logging into Guild Wars, I was notified that the User Agreement was updated. I had to agree to new terms, or stop playing the game. I became suspicious!
