I like how ArenaNet celebrates the holidays. It’s the Fourth of July weekend. We the people of the United States of America are celebrating the birth of a nation. Meanwhile, in the world of Guild Wars, Cantha is having their annual Dragon Festival. That means seasonal games, quests and prizes for Guild Wars player. This event is especially important for title farmers as the Boardwalk is open during this time of year.
I’m far from the greatest Michael Jackson fan of all time, but his death started some deep thoughts in my brain. I reflected upon an interesting time in my life — the 1980’s. That era had style, crazy hair, silly shoulder pads — everything was big and loud. Ronald Reagan was president. People were proud to be Americans. TV had iconic characters and shows — Mr. T, Hulk Hogan, Weird Al, MacGyver, Alf, Knight Rider, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Transformers. There was so much cool stuff.
My PlayStation 3 was free. It’s not because I’m some big-shot game writer. No, I received my PS3 as a housewarming gift. I was given a new HDTV and a PS3. Thanks to a huge sale, the PS3 was $300 off. You’d think that would get me excited about Sony’s console. It didn’t. My PS3 sat in a box, unopened, unplayed. I figured that it would make a nice Blu-Ray player, but I was too busy with work to play with my PlayStation.

Nintendo likes to update their downloadable library every Monday at 12 PM Eastern. It’s been a while since I posted up about the latest releases from Nintendo. I admit it, I was bored. The releases were slim during the first quarter of this year. Today, I checked again to see if anything was different. I was surprised.
