After dragging myself home from a holiday party in Manhattan, I just wanted to sleep. Nintendo had different ideas. In the middle of the night, my room exploded with a bright and bluish light. Is it daytime already? No, there’s a new message on my Wii. The slot illuminator with holiday cheer. Nintendo was bragging about the Wii Gifting option in the Wii Shop Channel.

12/10/2007 Virtual Console Releases – Pokemon Snap, Ghost’n Goblins and Baseball Stars 2

The Virtual Console is taking this website full circle. I reviewed Pokemon Snap (N64) over eight years ago. Today, it is released to the Wii. Ghost’n Goblins (NES) and Baseball Stars 2 (NEOGEO) are also included in this week’s Virtual Console releases.

Super Mario Galaxy Review

Super Mario Galaxy represents one of the biggest problems in running a gaming website. In order to write a review, you have to stop playing the game. While Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy to the Wii on November 12, and I was one of the first online to get it, I’m just now getting around to writing this article.

12/3/2007 Virtual Console Releases – ZANAC, Eternal Champions and The Dynastic Hero

Every Monday, Nintendo releases three games to the Wii’s Virtual Console. The ganes usually have a theme. This week’s theme is that there is no theme. ZANAC (NES), Eternal Champions (Genesis) and The Dynastic Hero (TurboGrafx16) are seemingly unrelated games.

Why Is Nintendo Winning The Console War?

There’s an arcade in Menlo Park Mall, New Jersey. I like to drive over there and play a few rounds of Street Fighter. Around this time of the year, I usually do so with caution. Holiday traffic makes the trip home rather rough. Not this year, as there was no traffic at all. I found that to be most disturbing.
