I haven’t been going to the movies as much. Considering that Netflix is only $7.99 a month, why should I drop $8 on a matinee? Although, I couldn’t resist the urge to see giant robots fight giant monsters. Pacific Rim didn’t look like a cheap sci-fi movie from the 50’s. This looked like a high-quality action flick. So, I decided to check it out. I thought that the movie was good. But unfortunately, I wasn’t overly impressed.

War Pinball Review
War Pinball is a game that I ignored for a while. I used to play 3D Pinball – Space Cadet on Microsoft Windows, but I didn’t have an equivalent game on Mac or iOS. I knew about Gameprom’s War Pinball, but it didn’t interest me. With all the bad press surrounding Charlie Sheen, I wasn’t in the mood to play a game based on Platoon or Navy Seals. But since Chuck Norris also has his own table in this app, I decided to give it a try.
Xbox One Does a 180
I was gearing myself up to write an epic rant. I’m astonished at how stupid Microsoft has been. My Xbox Live account is “forever stuck in a corrupted state“, Windows 8 didn’t launch with the Start Button and the new Xbox One was about to be a stillbirth. Apparently, the next generation Xbox will not require a daily Internet connection to play offline games and limitations on selling used games have been removed.
Sonic The Hedgehog Review (iOS version 2.0 – 2013)
It doesn’t feel like it to me, but Sonic The Hedgehog is over two decades old. And in the early 90’s, it would have been inconceivable for me to imagine such an incredible – and portable – port. The 2013 iOS version of Sonic The Hedgehog is better than the original. It’s been a while since I’ve played an iOS game until the “Low Battery” warning appeared. The difference here is that I fully recharged the phone and played until the warning appeared again.

Robot Combat League – Rise of The Machines
Recently I was wondering, “Where are all the good Sci-Fi shows?” Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, isn’t there some other Star ____ show to watch? Unfortunately, reality shows seem to dominate the dial. Why take a risk on an expensive fantasy show when it’s cheaper and easier to make shows about karaoke or partying at the Jersey Shore? This is why I’m surprised by Robot Combat League. It has the reality show format, but it feels quite unique.
