Halloween is this week and it looks like Nintendo is celebrating the occasion. Today’s Virtual Console releases have a Halloween theme. Castlevania II (NES), Samurai-Ghost (TurboGrafx) and Magician Lord (Neo-Geo) are now available. Nothing says Halloween like Fantasy Violence. For nostalgic video game fans, traveling back almost two decades in time is quite the Halloween treat.

Lunar Pool, Ninja JaJaMaru-Kun and Golden Axe III hit Wii Shop Channel

The Wii shop channel is updated every Monday, at 12pm Eastern / 9am Pacfic. Roughly three hours from this posting, Lunar Pool, Ninja JaJaMaru-Kun and Golden Axe III will be available for purchase. Monday mornings aren’t so bad, not when there’s retro gaming to look forward to.

Wii Online Gaming – Buying Battalion Wars 2 (BWii)

Game companies do send me free stuff, for reviews or promotions, but I also buy my own games. Generally, it is a rare occurrence that I’ll get a review copy of a new game. For the most part, it’s my own hard earned money that is spent on these video games. Knowing that Battalion Wars 2 will be released for the Wii on October 29, I’m wondering if I should drop $50 on the game. I’ve given it some thought and I am probably going to do it. The reason is simple – Cooperative & Competitive Online Play!
