Annoyed Tomatoes

Annoyed TomatoesI’m not a big fan of Halloween. With decades of video game experience, I’ve been training to shoot monsters — not dress up as them. My latest iPhone / iPod Touch game reflects that sentiment. In Annoyed Tomatoes, you play as a soldier. An advanced research facility has been overrun with mutant tomatoes. Your mission is to eradicate the hostile threat. This game is a bit creepy and more violent than I’m used to making. The music is a little eerie too, which helps to create a suspenseful mood. Even though I’m not usually enthusiastic about the holiday, Annoyed Tomatoes is a perfect creation for the weekend celebrations.

How Do You Download Game Center?

Game Center - Thumbnail Image - App icon on an iOS deviceI learned about Apple’s change to Game Center – a social network for iOS apps. My iPod Touch (second generation) is no longer excluded from the fun. With my poky 8GB device, I could partake of this online gaming experience. Ah, but there still was a barrier to surpass. I wasn’t quite sure how to get started. I had seen the Game Center app before, but I didn’t know how to download it to my iPod Touch. I wanted to secure “Photics” as my login name, as I’m planning to be quite active in this new gaming arena.

Tigerfish Review

Tigerfish are real fish. But in the iPhone / iPod Touch game, the Tigerfish has eyebrows. Tigerfish, by Marcos Riffel, is a cute and cartoony game, probably most ideal for preadolescent boys. Bumps Review

Bumps is an iPhone / iPod Touch puzzle game that is overwhelmingly cute. It’s adorable. It sweet. It’s so sweet that I forgot to eat lunch. I just sat in my chair, tapping away at my iPod Touch, trying to release the little Bumps from the alien aggressors. I played straight through the game. I completed all 54 levels. Along the way, I took some notes. There are some minor issues with Bumps. But overall, it’s one of the best games in its class.

Aiko & iOS4

There’s an old cliché – the best things in life are free. Here in the northern hemisphere, as I was enjoying the sunniest day of the year, two downloads proved the old adage true. While working on my next game, I went hunting for some more artwork. Aiko – the Anime Star Fighter is a free download from Daz3d.com. Even though it’s older artwork, it still looks awesome. Meanwhile, Apple gave new life to an old device. My iPod Touch (8 GIG) was upgraded to iOS 4.
